Pete Benedetti is a successful and experienced executive with over 17 years of CEO and President level experience.
He has over 24 years of experience in acquiring, owning, integrating and operating radio station clusters in various sized markets. He has overseen the operation of more than 116 stations. His early career is characterized by producing consistently impressive results and extremely rapid advancement with increasing responsibility.
He has been a successful executive in both publicly traded and private-equity backed companies as well as an entrepreneur, currently owning two companies, one in Montana and another in Colorado. In 2009, he founded and currently owns 4 radio stations in Billings, MT. In April of 2012 he took over as President ad CEO of NRC Broadcasting Mountain Group (12 stations in the Colorado mountains) and purchased the company outright n December, 2013, re-branding it as AlwayMountainTime, LLC. In addition to radio the company also has a digital advertising agency (AMT Digital), A live events company (Radiate Live Events), and the Colorado Sports Network, a website covering High School sports in the state of Colorado.
From 2002 – 2009, he served as President and CEO of New Northwest Broadcasters, LLC (NNB) overseeing a portfolio of 36 stations in seven markets in the Pacific Northwest. From 1998-2002, he was President of the Western Region at Citadel Broadcasting, overseeing almost 80 stations in a total of 13 cities including 5 of Citadel’s largest cash flow producing markets. Nearly all of the markets under his control in both companies developed into local revenue leaders, which consistently outperformed the competition.
In his time at NNB, he led a complete turnaround of the company through a difficult economic and advertising environment. Along with many strategic operating initiatives that turned performance around, Hired to turnaround a non-profitable company, after only 12 months, NNB was consistently outperforming its peer group. In late 2008, during an unprecedented and uncertain economic climate, he proposed, negotiated and successfully closed an extremely creative spin-off scenario to the board and lenders at NNB and formed his own broadcast company, Benedetti Media Group.
Pete has many deep relationships and friends in the industry. In addition to CEO duties, he was on the Board of Directors of NNB, is a past member of Radio Board of Directors of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), served on the board of the Utah Broadcasters Association and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Pacific Northwest and Colorado Chapters. He is also the founder and President of the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation, a non-profit benefitting children with life threatening illnesses.
