ATTENTION! FCC Announces Fee Filing System Corrected and Available for Filing

UPDATED: 9/17/2024 at 12:00 p.m.

The FCC has released a Public Notice announcing that the CORES system has been updated and the incorrect regulatory fee amounts for radio stations have been corrected. When logging into CORES, broadcasters will still see the announcement from last week asking radio broadcasters to refrain from filing until the system has been updated, but the Public Notice says that fees can now be filed. We have been told that the FCC’s IT contractors just have not yet removed the warning, but that it should be removed by tomorrow.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fees are still due by September 26th. No extension of time appears to have been granted. The FCC indicates they will be reaching out to those broadcasters who paid incorrect amounts before the problem was discovered.

FCC Public Notice

The FCC has released its 2024 Reg Fee orders setting the payment deadline as September 26, 2024.

As a result of repeated comment filings to the FCC, by the Colorado Broadcasters Association, broadcasters will see a decrease in their regulatory fees of approximately 5 to 6% for the second straight year.
