Position: Broadcast Engineer / Technician

Pillar Media (Colorado) has recently launched two new radio stations! To continue our growth, we're looking for an experienced radio engineer to oversee the technical and studio operations of the Pillar Media radio stations in the Denver, Colorado area. The position reports to the Director of Engineering.

  • Professional with an excellent track record in radio broadcast engineering, with minimum of five years’ experience.
  • Solid background in RF transmission equipment.
  • Experience with analog as well as digital equipment.
  • Familiar with current technology and aware of emerging industry trends.
  • Strong organizational, strategic and analytical skills, ability to manage and prioritize numerous projects while meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of computer skills.
  • Trustworthy to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willing to learn and grow their current professional abilities.
Responsibilities/Day-to-Day
The primary responsibilities as part of a multi-location and multi-person team will be overseeing contractors for support of the engineering needs of all Pillar Media Colorado radio stations. Responsible for all day-to-day and long-term engineering and technical management operations of the Colorado stations, including towers, RF transmitters, on-air studio operations, automation systems, and other related broadcast operating systems.
  • Oversee all technical operation and maintenance of broadcast station infrastructure for all Pillar Media Colorado stations.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain technical logistical support for stations.
  • Under the Director of Engineering, responsible for maintaining FCC technical requirements for Pillar Media Colorado stations.
  • Provide regular reports to the Director of Engineering.
  • On-call 24-7 for emergencies.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development for the benefit of the ministry.
  • Other special projects as directed by Station Management.
