Colorado voters approved the paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program in 2020. FAMLI ensures Colorado workers have access to paid leave to take care of themselves or their family during life circumstances that pull them away from their jobs, so workers don’t have to choose between earning a paycheck and taking care of their families.

SB 24-157, the bill that exempted the legislature from much of the open meetings law, requires the legislature’s executive committee to take public comment on “the application” of the open meetings law to the General Assembly by the end of 2024.
A meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 30th at 11 a.m. in HCR 0107 at the Capitol.
We strongly urge all broadcasters and journalists to testify. Please spread the word with other concerned organizations about this meeting as well.
