SB 24-157, the bill that exempted the legislature from much of the open meetings law, requires the legislature’s executive committee to take public comment on “the application” of the open meetings law to the General Assembly by the end of 2024.
A meeting is scheduled Monday, December 30th at 11 a.m. in HCR 0107 at the Capitol.
We strongly urge all broadcasters and journalists to testify. Use the link below to participate. Select “By Hearing Item” and then “Executive Committee of the Legislative Council Discussion and Public Testimony on Colorado Open Meetings Law.” Please spread the word with other concerned organizations about this meeting as well.
